THE™ NWSHPQFEK Tag Antibody, mAb, Mouse recognizes NWSHPQFEK tags localized at the N-terminal and C-terminal region of Strep II-tagged fusion proteins.

Applications

Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigators. The appropriate concentrations may be affected by secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, the sensitivity of the method of detection, temperature, the length of the incubations, and other factors. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product.

ELISA - recommended usage: 0.001-0.002 µg/ml
Western Blot - recommended usage: 0.1-0.5 µg/ml
Immunoprecipitation (IP) - recommended usage: 1-5 µg/ml
Flow Cytometry - recommended usage: 1 µg/ml
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) - recommended usage: 1-3 µg/ml

Target background

Streptavidin is a tetrameric protein purified from Streptomyces avidinii. It is widely used in numerous molecular biological protocols due to its strong affinity for biotin.

NWSHPQFEK (Strep tag II) is a nine amino acid peptide with high specificity and affinity towards streptavidin.

NWSHPQFEK Tag Antibody is a useful tool in analysis and affinity purification of Strep tag II fusion proteins.
