THE™ NWSHPQFEK Tag Antibody [FITC], mAb, Mouse recognizes N-terminal and C-terminal Strep II tagged fusion proteins.

Applications

Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigators. The appropriate concentrations may be affected by secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, the sensitivity of the method of detection, temperature, the length of the incubations, and other factors. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product.

• Flow Cytometry - recommended usage: 1-3 µg for 1 x 10⁶ cells
• Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) - recommended usage: 1-3 µg/ml

Target background

Streptavidin is a tetrameric protein purified from Streptomyces avidinii. It has wide use in numerous molecular biological protocols dues to its strong affinity for biotin.

Strep II tag (NWSHPQFEK) is a nine amino acid peptide with high specificity and affinity towards streptavidin.
