The NanoDrop? ND-3300 Fluorospectrometer enables high-sensitivity, fluorescence measurements of minute samples (1-2ul). The patented sample retention system uses surface tension to hold the sample in place during the measurement cycle, eliminating the need for costly cuvettes and capillaries.
Three LEDs excitation sources: UV, blue, and white provide a wide variety of full-spectrum, fluorescence detection without the need for filter changes. Several applications for nucleic acid and protein measurements are available: including common commercial methods, such as the PicoGreen and Quant iT assays, naturally occurring fluorophores, such as fluorescein, Cy and Alexa dyes, and user-configured applications for detection of nanogram quantities of proteins and picogram quantities of DNA or RNA. The instrument is powered by a USB connection making it a lightweight, portable, space-saving option for field applications and crowded laboratorie.
